Smart Tools

PMR delivers 'smart' solutions and tools for creating and managing Projects, Portfolios and Programmes.

We provide a heavy emphasis on the PMO and reporting, providing solutions which drive down the PMO overhead.

On one complex, pan-European Business Programme it was estimated that each Project Manager needed to spend 2 days a week just generating the reports and information the PMO needed for centralised reporting. We created a system which reduced this to 2 hours per week.

In 2003 a system was supplied to a major government department which managed a UK wide Portfolio of 20+ Projects with centralised reporting.

This was based on a central database and special PMO reporting utilities created which automatically generated an MS Excel spreadsheet with separate worksheets for:

• top 20 Programme Risks - order by severity

• top 20 Programme Issues - ordered by severity

• top 5 Project Risks for each Project

• top 5 Project Issues for each Project

• Status/Progress summary graph

• Status/Progress summary graph for each Project
